What is Technology Integration?

Meaningful technology integration is the use of technology in a way that enhances and supports the teaching and learning process. This can involve using a wide range of technological tools, such as computers, tablets, and educational software, to support the teaching of various subjects, including reading, math, science, and social studies. Technology integration can take many forms, including using technology for research, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. It can also involve using technology to individualize instruction, provide students with access to a wider range of learning resources, and support the development of important 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and creativity.

Teachers integrate technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of educational practices, or to provide new and exciting learning opportunities for students. It is important for technology integration to be meaningful, rather than simply using technology for technology's sake. This means that the technology should be chosen and used in a way that aligns with the goals and objectives of the lesson or unit of study, and that it enhances and supports the learning process in a significant way.
