These pictures were taken of Ms. Modjeski's first period class on Thursday January 9, 2003 , the first class to use the new lap tops. The new 45 lap tops are Compaqs with a 1.4 Ghz Athlon XP processor, 240 MB of Ram, a 30 GB hard drive, a DVD rom drive, and Windows XP Professional is installed on all of them. These lap tops are to be used for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The lap tops are distributed between three different mobile carts, each holding 15 lap tops respectively. Each mobile cart will also be accompanied by a Hewit Packard Laser Jet 2200dn printer. Each Lap Top will be equipped with an optical mouse and a headset. All of these lap tops will take full advantage of the new 30 antennas strategically placed through out the school provided by Erate year five. These antennas are for wireless connection to the internet. It is now possible to use the new lap tops anywhere in the school and still be able to connect to the internet.
Also in this grant, the school received two new Smart Boards and two new projectors. These Smart Boards are used with a projector to create an interactive board. To go along with the two Smart Boards, the school also received two new Gateway lap tops to run the two smart boards.
