Enhancing Education Through Technology

This year the students of Lincoln School are benefiting from District 156's participation in the State of Illinois' Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant (EETT). This grant has provided 7 student computers to our Junior High Social Studies, Science, and Self-Contained classrooms, as well as one 7th Grade language Arts room. All participating teachers also received a new desktop computer for their rooms, as well as a Smart Board.

A Smart Board is a board that allows students and teachers to interact with a computer through wireless technology. Teachers and students can give presentations on it as Ms. Novovic is doing in the lefthand photo below. Students also view streaming videos from Unitedstreaming.com on the Smart Boards as they are doing in Mr. Puchalski's class on the right.

Students use a variety of programs like Inspiration and Microsoft Office to enhance their learning.
